Benefits for Existing Customers
Reduce the friction of applying for new accounts. MANTL streamlines the application process by pre-filling existing customer information.
Customers already enrolled in an Online or Mobile Banking (OMB) platform who have never opened an account through MANTL can be automatically provisioned in our platform to reduce the friction of applying for additional accounts. MANTL can be configured to use any OMB platform as an identity provider that supports either OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML 2.0. When an existing customer clicks a link to open a new account, they are automatically signed in and can begin the application process with minimal friction.
For choosing between the two security protocols, reference the following article: Protocols and Third-Party Integrators.
Technical integration details for each protocol:

What information is sent by the OMB about the user?
As little as possible.
MANTL reads a minimal set of data, as we prefer to pull all necessary information directly from the core once we've successfully and securely identified the user. In most integrations, only the user's unique identifier from the Financial Institutions core is passed between the systems as either a SAML assertion or OAuth claim. We also support consuming the user's Social Security Number or membership ID for some credit union use cases.
Product Specific Interactions
The default behavior of a successful customer ingress will land the user on the MANTL product selection page, which has a curated list of product offerings for the given Financial Institution. However, a common use case is to have the call-to-action in the OMB be product specific. In this case, the user will land in an already open application for the given product type.
